About your stay
We’ve put together answers to some of the most common questions to help you quickly find the information you need.

Restrictions may apply during the Christmas period, we advise you to check upon booking.
You will need to provide your credit or debit card details to secure your reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro and Electron to secure a reservation.
Please note that full payment for your reservation will be taken between 48 hours prior to arrival and check-in. This will be debited from the credit/debit card used to secure your initial booking.
We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the property during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.
If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss.
Dogs are permitted in most areas of the hotel, other than the main restaurant. We politely request that dogs are kept on leads at all times in public areas and are not left unattended in bedrooms during your stay. Please speak to the team for full details and do let us know if you require a dog-friendly space when dining or staying with us.
We have one wheelchair-accessible room and four other ground-floor rooms which are located in the annexe part of our building.
Guests with specific access requirements are advised to contact us where will be happy to provide advice and assistance.
We do not have any family rooms, however, some rooms are large enough to accommodate additional beds and/or cots which we have available for hire. Please contact us direct for more information and to ensure you are allocated a suitable room.
Please note, additional occupants aged 3 – 15 years are charged 25% of the double room rate.
Breakfast is served every morning from 7am until 10am and is included as part of your room rate.
You can order from our breakfast menu, or please help yourself to our continental selection.
The main bar and restaurant also offer lunch and dinner. The team will be happy to reserve a table for you, just let them know.
Check-in is from 3pm. We ask guests to check out by 11am on the day of departure.
We permit dogs in a select number of our rooms. If you are planning to bring a dog, you must ensure that a Dog-Friendly Room has been booked prior to arrival.
Dog charges are £20 per dog, per stay. This charge is not included in the room rate and will be added as an additional cost on top of the accommodation rate.
Our hotel bedrooms and most public areas are pet friendly. However, as we do accommodate dogs on site, guests with allergies or sensitivities are strongly advised to notify the hotel directly in advance of arrival. While we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, we will always endeavour to meet individual requirements where possible.

We ask that dogs are not left on their own in the rooms. Your dog is allowed with you in all areas of the Old Success Inn except the main restaurant.
Included in this additional rate you will find our dog hamper complete with tennis ball, Forthglade treats, biodegradable poo-bags and Proper Job beer for you to take away with you.
All our rooms are complete with luxury toiletries, tea and coffee-making facilities, free WiFi and a hairdryer.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms situated in the main building. We do however have air conditioning in the annexe rooms.
Due to our prominent position in Sennen Cove, we are unable to offer parking. Please use Sennen Beach Car Park (TR19 7DG) which is just across the road from us.
Rate is £10 for 24 hours.
The nearest charging points for electric vehicles is at Lands End which is only a couple of miles away from us.
If you have booked through a third-party travel agent please refer to the agent’s specific cancellation terms. We do not pay commission on reservations to third parties without a prior formal agreement.

Very good
The staff were outstanding especially Tony whom welcomed us on arrival and was so attentive all evening. He is a massive credit to the St Austell team and Success Inn. Beautiful location with garden at front and a roof terrace for views. Additional treats was an added bonus. Decor was needing a bit of tlc in our rooms with some damp patches.

Location on its own was exceptional but honestly everything about The Old Success Inn was amazing. The staff were all so lovely, the room was great and that view!!! There were so many little touches in the room that made our stay that little bit more special. I cannot wait to come back to Sennen Cove.

Enjoyed three wonderful nights here – 19th to 22nd April 2026. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean, the location by the beach amazing, the food and drink wonderful and the staff, all of them were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for.

Every aspect of this stay exceeded our expectations, so much so we wanted to stay longer but unfortunately they didn’t have any availability. The location is just breathtaking. The staff are warm and friendly, food great, and the rooms we totally outstanding!! I am already looking at dates for another visit.

Staff went above and beyond! Drinks in my room on arrival, happy birthday banner, a card for my wife to say Happy Birthday and added a candle to my wife’s dessert. Im pretty sure everyone said happy birthday to my wife. We’ll definitely be coming back.
